Privacy policy

Data controller

What data is collected

Those the user provides through the contact form: name, organisation, email address, area of interest, type of organisation and the message. The phone number is an optional field. No special categories of data and no health data are collected through this site.

For technical security and systems diagnostics, the IP address may be logged in anonymised or pseudonymised form.

Purposes

• To attend to and handle the request for information, collaboration or proposal submitted.
• To maintain the contact arising from that request and manage any relationship that may come of it.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

No commercial communications are sent on the basis of the form data unless the user consents expressly and separately.

Legal basis

The consent of the data subject on submitting the form, under article 6.1.a of Regulation (EU) 2016/679; the taking of pre-contractual steps at the data subject's request, under 6.1.b; and compliance with legal obligations, under 6.1.c. Spanish Organic Law 3/2018, on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights, also applies.

Retention period

Data is kept for as long as the relationship continues and erasure is not requested. It is then blocked for the statutory limitation periods in order to address any liabilities, and erased once those expire.

Recipients

No data is disclosed to third parties except where legally required. The controller's IT and email service providers may access it as processors, under a contract compliant with article 28 of the Regulation: providers to be specified.

International transfers

This site loads its typefaces from the Google Fonts service, which involves a connection from the user's browser to Google servers and the transmission of their IP address. to be confirmed: whether this stays or the typefaces move to local hosting. Apart from that case, no international data transfers take place.

Rights

The user may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and may withdraw consent given, by writing to genetics@origen.bio stating the right being exercised. A complaint may also be lodged with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, aepd.es.

Accuracy of the data

The user warrants that the data provided is true and up to date, and is liable for any harm arising from its inaccuracy. If they provide a third party's data, they warrant having informed that party of this policy and having their authorisation.
